At Chir’s House, you can take part in a masterclass for preparing Ghapama - a traditional Armenian dish that can be served both as a main or dessert. A large beautiful pumpkin is being stuffed with boiled rice, gently sliced sun-dried fruits (such as apricots, peaches, plums, cornels, dates, prunes), roasted or fresh nuts, all topped with organic honey from mountain flowers.
This delicious meal is usually prepared during colder months of the year. It is extremely rich in vitamins and nutrients from fruits, nuts, and honey – needless to say, all are organic. Fruits are handpicked from Chir’s House garden and are also sun-dried here. During cold seasons, Ghapama brings the taste of warm and cozy summer evenings. Come to Byurakan and enjoy delicious Ghapama with us at Chir’s House!
