Vahe Mayilyan is a fourth-generation woodcarver and hiking guide from Tavush. Vahe organizes woodcarver classes for visitors in his workshop in the center of Ijevan, making jewelry (also with local semi-precious stones), kitchen utensils, and sculptures. Vahe demonstrates his woodcarving skills on pieces of wood and roots, which he collects during his hiking tours.

Vahe organizes various hiking tours in the Ijevan region, during which you will discover the wonderful nature of the region, get acquainted with the history of the place, as well as collect semi-precious stones. At the end of the walk, you can go to Vahe's workshop and make jewelry with the stones you have collected, If you wish.

During the walk to Moro Dzoro Monastery, you will pass through the picturesque corners of Tavush's wonderful nature and will reach this ancient monastery. The monastery of Moro Dzoro, which the locals call the monastery of Tsrviz, is remarkable in that it has survived and reached us from the fifth century. This monastery will amaze you with its unique structure.

Moro Dzoro Monastery: Moro Dzoro Monastery (also known as Tsrviz Monastery) is an Armenian Apostolic monastery on the right bank of the south-western gorge of Lusahovit (formerly Tsrviz) village, Tavush region. The chapel was built in about 5-7 centuries. According to the originals preserved on the walls of the chapel, Georgian prince Georgi (1156-1184) exempted the monastery from taxes. It is also known that the dome was renovated in 1213 by Atabek Ivane Zakaryan. Moro-Dzor chapel was completely renovated in 1980, and now it is in normal condition. The ruined village of Tsrviz spreads around the monument, where the village of Nor Tsrviz was later founded. The church of Tsrvzi is one of the rare monuments that has survived from the 5th century in the Aghstev valley, and the old parts of it are very remarkable with their sculptures and figures.
