Batik technology has been used in Europe since the 20th century. There are several types of batik: hot, cold and free decoration.
For different types of fabrics (silk, cotton, wool, synthetics) a dye corresponding to the fabric is used. To get clear lines, the piece is fastened with a special fastener called a reserve (a reserved cover based on paraffin, gasoline, or water, depending on the chosen technique, fabric, and paints).
